Soccer Update

E-man's team, now named "The Lightening" now 2-0. They won 3-2 on Saturday. And of course, E-man scored all 3 goals again this week. He's really enjoying it and it's so good for his self-esteem!!

After scoring his 2nd goal yesterday he came running over to me and said, "Daddy, I'm going to score THIS MANY" as he held up 3 fingers. I said that sounded good...but that it was his turn to sit out for awhile. There were about 6 or 7 minutes left before the end of the game. So when the other team scored their 2nd goal with 2 minutes left, it was a natural time for the coach to put E-man back in the game. So he ran back on the field. They were way down by their own goal when our goalie made a save and threw the ball to E-man. He gave it a huge kick (all the way to mid field!) and then he chased it down and dribbled all the way to the goal for his 3rd goal. That ended the game. He came running over to me with a huge smile!

The mother of one of the other boys said to us, "Well...he set a goal...and he did it!"

Of course, E-man was more excited to learn that he got fruit punch and spider man snacks he got after the game! He took 3 juice boxes so he could share w/ Annie and Abegail.

Hi Sue, Scott, Abegail, Annie and Eman,
I've been following your blog for almost a year now and want to thank all of you for sharing your story. My husband and I started to adopt with AFAA from Liberia last year but stopped in Dec. because of the scandals. We were afraid of not being able to get our child home to the States.
You guys are a wonderful family and it's great seeing you all make progress. Annie has been so generous with her new brother and sister, Abegail doing well in school and Eman's latest discovery of his soccer talents... well, it's impressive!
Please continue the blog! I check it several times a week.
Best wishes from Arizona,
